Changing SharePoint text in upper-left corner

  • Open SharePoint Designer 2013

Designer

  • Click on Open Site
  • In the open site dialog box type the url of the SharePoint site for which you want to change the text.

Open Site

  • Click Open
  • In the left navigation click Master Pages

NavigationPane

  • Click on seattle.master to highlight it.
  • Make a copy of seattle.master.
  • Click the copied master file and then edit the file.
  • Copy the below code just above the closing head tag.                                                             <SharePoint:CssRegistration ID=”CssRegistration1″ name=”<% $SPUrl:~sitecollection/style library/custom.css %>” runat=”server” after=”style.css” />

MasterCode

  • Save the file
  • In the left navigation click on All Files. The click on Style Library. Create a custom.css file.
  • Open the custom.css file and paste the below code.
    .ms-core-brandingText:after{
    content:” Powered by Nikhil”;
    }
    .ms-core-brandingText{
    margin-left: -94px;
    }

  • Save the file
  • Select the copied master page. Select set as custom and then set as default.
  • Go to your site and see the changes.
